Dora Neginskaya
Dora Neginskaya, our licensed medical aesthetician, has been a member of our professional staff since 2000. She sees patients five days per week in our beautifully appointed first floor suite. Dora offers complimentary aesthetic skin consultations and pre-procedure evaluations to advise patients about skin care, product selection, and various in-office procedures such as superficial chemical peels, laser hair removal, intense pulsed light (IPL), and photodynamic therapy (PDT) for precancerous solar keratoses. She also provides preliminary consultations and informational sessions regarding physician-performed procedures such as injections of Botox, dermal fillers, certain laser and intense pulsed light treatments, sclerotherapy, all performed by one of our physicians at a separate scheduled appointment. Dora performs glycolic acid and salicylic acid peels, microdermabrasions, medical, acne, and aesthetic facials, and acne extractions that maximize the results of medically prescribed acne therapy. She performs laser hair removal, IPL, and PDT under the direct supervision of Dr. Ruth and/or Dr. Eric Treiber. With Dora’s extensive training and years of experience our patients have confidence that they are receiving effective, safe, state-of-the-art treatments by a knowledgeable, caring, diligent professional.
Dora is a native of Byelorussia. She trained in Minsk, USSR, where she participated in a multi-disciplinary program incorporating cosmetic therapies with traditional medical and plastic surgical approaches to dermatologic problems. She subsequently immigrated to the United States, where she received additional training in New York City. She trained in laser-assisted hair removal in 1998. She has been actively performing laser hair removal procedures since that time initially in certain plastic surgery offices in Connecticut and since 2000 in our office. She holds a New York State Aesthetics License (#145320), as well as a Certificate of Mastery in Electrolysis since 1999. (She does not perform electrolysis at this time).
Although Dora has experience as a medical assistant, her main activities have been as a clinical aesthetician. After performing various types of facial and skin enhancement treatments at several day spas and women's wellness centers, she gained additional expertise working with plastic surgeons in Westport and Greenwich, where she performed aesthetic procedures for pre- and post-operative patients and consulted regarding skin care treatments. She is particularly interested in and adept at microdermabrasion, light chemical peels, facials, acne treatments, and laser hair removal. Dora has developed a loyal, enthusiastic clientele wherever she has worked. She has been praised for her professionalism, as well as her dedication, cheerfulness, and helpfulness to both patients and co-workers. She is constantly researching new skin products and techniques to provide her patients with the latest, state-of-the art technology in aesthetic skin care. Dora can be reached by phone on Mondays-Thursdays from 9am-5:00pm, and on Fridays from 9am-3pm. Alternatively, patients can leave voice mail messages for her at any time, which she will return during her next scheduled office session.
